…we gave away the Explorer this weekend. That makes today the first day of our one-car experience. We’ve been talking about it for a while and now we’re here. Yikes!
I’m glad to have been able to give it to my nephew, Romey, who could really use a car right now since the brakes recently went out on his old truck that he got from his grandfather a while back. Lucky guy, this is his second free car. Hopefully the Explorer gets him around hassle free for a long time to come, as much as it got me and my family around all these years.
I’m sure it’s going to be a little more challenging for us now to coordinate our transportation, but it’ll work out great and we’re looking forward to the change. Now we’ll get to see how important (or not) two cars really are.
Another step in the right direction.
I ran across a great blog post at zenhabits.net today. The post is about making change by “burning down the farm”. Sometimes when you want to make real changes, you have to force yourself to move forward by removing the option to retreat to safety and comfort.
